Bill O'Grady

Bill J. OGrady of Williston died Monday, August 21, 2023 due to injuries received in a horse accident. He was 56. Mr. OGrady was a cowboy, horseman, and cattleman. He enjoyed roping and was one of the best. Bill worked for Lykes Bros. Inc. in Okeechobee, FL. He was often referred to as "Wild Bill". Bill worked over 25 years for the Seminole Indian Cattle Reservation. He loved his dogs and horses. Bill had a lot of friends because of his quiet and fun personality. Born in Bethany, MO, he moved to Williston in 1985. He was a graduate of Citrus High School, Inverness, FL. Survivors include his father, Garel J. OGrady of Williston, FL; three sisters, Bonnie (Jerry) Farnsworth of Jesup, GA, Kitty (David) Snyder of Grain Valley, MO, and Patty (Mendel) Cline of Morriston, FL; a son Wyatt OGrady and a daughter Shelby OGrady; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Jim OGrady, in 1999 and his mother, Ruby OGrady, in 2016. A funeral service will be held at Knauff Funeral Home in Williston on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 6:00 pm. The family will receive friends starting at 5:00 pm. Pastor Billy Keith will officiate.
