Obituary

Kirven Monroe Sheppard, of Chiefland, Florida, was born on August 6, 1951, and passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Margie Lee Sheppard (Roberts) and Samuel Melvin Sheppard Sr. 

Kirven is survived by his brother, Samuel Melvin Sheppard Jr. (Gloria), and his sister, Pamela Lee Owens (Sam). He also leaves behind his nephews, Jason Warren Owens and Joseph Samuel Owens (Marissa), and his nieces, Christine Sheppard and Crystal Lee Rodriguez (Michael), along with many many other extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Kirven was a devoted fan of the Florida Gators and found great joy in the outdoors. Whether he was tending to his garden or simply sitting on the porch enjoying the peace and quiet, he appreciated life’s simple pleasures and the beauty of nature.

He will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved him. Kirven will be remembered for his life, his legacy, and the love he shared with those who knew him. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Celebration of life will be Thursday, April 30th 2026 at 6pm at the Weems and Sons Funeral Home 715 West Park Ave Chiefland, Florida 32626
