Mosey Polk

Mosey Glenn Polk, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 11, 2023. He was born January 3, 1949; at Alachua General Hospital, Gainesville Fl. He was married to the love of his life, Geralene Curry Polk for 52 wonderful years. He leaves behind two wonderful children: Gerald Glenn Polk and Shelia Marie Polk. Two grandchildren; Austin Mitchel Polk (Taylor); Kaitlynn Nicole Brown (Ray Brown). A sister Dorothy Polk Nimmons. He is preceded in death by his parents Glenn Canada Polk and Vera Marie Osteen Danner Polk; Brothers James "Jimmy" Danner, Ronald Glenn Polk, Gary F. Danner. Mosey graduated from Chiefland High School and attended Barber college in Tampa Fl. He served in the United States Army with pride. Returning home, he worked for the Battery plant in Alachua Fl for 29 yrs. Then retired from UF Housing as a Supervisor after 10 years. He enjoyed every day he could be on the farm working with his cattle and coming home to his family. He was a man of deep faith raised in the Baptist church who was honored to serve as a deacon while at Pine Grove Baptist church. He had a close relationship with his Lord Jesus Christ and was a current member of First Baptist Church of Chiefland. A funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Chiefland on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 2:00 PM with a visitation one hour prior. Pastors Kris Mullis and Tony Clubb will officiate. Knauff Funeral Home of Chiefland is honored to serve the Polk family during their time of transition.
