Alice D. Richburg (Clark), 90, died Friday, July 7th, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born January 28, 1933, in Trenton, FL to Stella and J.G. Clark. She was one of 11 siblings. She was married on August 25, 1951, to Paul Richburg. They had 5 children and they resided in Cedar Key. She spent her life being a homemaker, which included sewing clothes for her children as well as making uniforms for the school and anyone else within the community. She could also be a fisherman or woman if she needed to. She loved making anything crafty and cooking lots of good homemade meals and would teach anyone these skills. She would also sit on the voting poles during election season. She was a Godly woman and was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Cedar Key. She taught many Sundays School Classes, many youth groups, and did many Vacations Bible Schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul. Sons, Gene, Hurbert, and Harold. Sisters--Ruby, Myrtle, Hazel, Clara Mae, and Betty Sue. Brothers--J.C. and Wilson. One grandchild, Jimmy. She was survived by her daughters, Shirlene (Phillip) Campbell, Paulette Moore. A sister, Christine Smith, Two brothers, Bill Clark, and John (Nancy) Clark. Along with 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many friends. Arrangements have been made through Knauff Funeral Home in Chiefland, FL. The viewing is set for Monday July 10th from 6-8 at Knauf Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be July 11th at 11:00 AM at the Cedar Key Cemetery.

Cedar Key has lost another one of our Icons as MS. Alice was loved by everyone! Her heartfelt attitude of reaching out to those in need was definitely something that everyone dearly appreciated!Guess our good Lord needed another spectacular Angel to assist Him in His ongoing efforts to feed the gatherings in Heaven! I definitely know you family members will have a vacancy that can never be filled! Remember tho, she is definitely in a better place than we are! May God's grace fill this decimating void left by her call to Heaven!Love y'all Bubba

Mrs. Alice was an amazing woman. She loved me and my girls even though there was no blood relation. She will be greatly missed.

The summer I was 9 years old, my mom (Aunt Betty Sue) took me to Aunt Alice and Uncle Paul's house to spend a week. I was out of their house early and spent the days roaming the streets and docks of Cedar Key... by myself...no cell phone...no bottled water...no money, just me and later in the week Allen came up. I have vague memories of getting on a fishing boat (which I hope was Uncle Paul's) haha, feet cut up by oyster shells, probably dehydrated, and definitely trying to stay out of trouble following Allen around. :) Early in the week she taught me how to fry fish. This involved a nuclear hot iron skillet with molten lava temperature Crisco from the can...and no tongs. Seriously, the trick to frying fish she said is wait until the tail curls up and then pinch it between your fingers real carefully and flip it over. So I fried fish every day... with my fingers. Hahaha! She was so awesome. It was a wonderful week and a fond childhood memory. I'm so happy that she had a long life surrounded by people that loved her so dearly. Love to you all, Sharon
