Patricia Baker

Patricia, better known as Patsy, was born in Homestead, Florida to her adoring parents William and Eva Holloway on March 19, 1949. Patsy attended school in Kissimmee, Florida and was involved in many activities during her years there. She was the youngest of 5 children who all loved and supported each other. Patsy went on to go to college and pursued a career in business and management. Later in life she, along with her family moved to Chiefland, Florida to raise her family. She had a true servants heart that led her into being a receptionist and secretary for many years as she enjoyed serving the public. She loved people and working, but she later had the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom and "Mema" and was the very best at it! Patsy was a mother to 4 amazing children, Lisa, Betty Lou, Larry and Laurie. They were her life! She loved being a mom and capturing moments and saving every single memento. She enjoyed scrapbooking and making sure that the years didnt go by without saving "the little things". Her home was always filled with pictures and things that held sentimental value, whatever that may have been! As much as she loved her children and being a mom, being "Mema" was her calling. She had 18 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many others in the community also knew her as their "Mema" as well. She never met a stranger! Through the years of them growing up, not many weekends went by that she didnt have them with her, preparing activities and famous meals. The scrapbooking and mementos did not stop at her children, but for each child to come. Patsy was a dedicated and proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her entire life. For many, many years she played the piano for the congregation. She never recognized her talents, but those that knew her will remember her most by her powerful musical inclinations. Patsy had no problem professing her faith and love for her Heavenly Father and elder brother Jesus Christ. Her roles in the church were always with the primary and youth programs teaching generations of the gospel. We can be at peace knowing where she is today with the knowledge that we can and will be together again. As the Matriarch, she lived her life as such an example to what a Christian should be and obtaining eternal life in her new Heavenly home. Patsy is preceded in death by her beloved son and "baby boy" Larry Wayne Baker Jr. father; William Holloway, mother; Eva Holloway, siblings; Betty Caplin, William Holloway Jr., Robert Holloway, Mary French. She is remembered lovingly by her surviving family members daughters Lisa Ann Baker, Betty Lou Landes (Michael), Laura Lee Boardman (Jay), Grandchildren; Stefan Sutton, Derek Sutton, Lauren Sutton, Lynsey Sutton, Weston Sutton, Keagon Weatherford (Kaylee), Kyle Schultz, Kasidy Pierce (Brody), Kolby Schultz, Reagan Watkins, Tyran Watkins, Dominick Boardman, Faith Boardman, Jax Boardman, Larry Baker III (Trey), Fallon Baker, Alexia Baker and 6 wonderful great-grandchildren. Patsys services will be held July 6, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1:00pm. Following there will be a graveside held at Orange Hill Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. All are welcome to join!
