William (Bill) Henry Campbell, 77, died Wednesday, June 7, 2023. He was born October 10, 1945 in Lake Wales, FL to Varnell Campbell and Ilene Campbell. He was a graduate of Cedar Key High School and served in the United States Navy. He was the owner and operator of Bill Campbell Lawn Care and Tree Service in Cedar Key for several decades. Bill enjoyed metal detecting, mechanics, outdoor activities, and his family. He was a member of Cedar Key United Methodist Church. He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity. He is survived by his siblings, Sylvia (AJ) Brown, Steve Campbell, Elaine Rains, John Campbell, and Phillip (Shirlene) Campbell, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great- nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wesley Campbell; brother-in-law, Joe Rains; niece, Degi Carman; and great-nephew Dylan Stewart. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Cedar Key United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 24th, 2023 at 11:00 am. Rev. Dr. Sarah Campbell will officiate. Arrangements are under the care of Knauff Funeral Home, Chiefland.

Just lost another good guy that will be sorely missed by those of us fortunate enough to have been in his circle of friends! Bill's outstanding demeanor and infectious smile would change your feeling bad to one of immediate happiness!Bill is home with his Mom and Daddy one more, and his openly mindness will be missed by all of us!

Mr. Bill was the hardest working man weve ever met,he could work three twenty year olds under the table. The way he could use a chainsaw was memorizing... He will be greatly missed in our community!!! Condolences and prayers for his family as he was definitely one of a kind.

Prayers and Deepest sympathy to all the Campbell family from the Woodhouse family. Bill was one of the first people that my husband, Charles, and I met in 2002 when we bought our house on Sunset Point. He and my husband were about the same age, both were Veterans and both had a true love for Gods gift of nature and wildlife. My husband learned so much about the Islands history and vegetation from Bill. Bill was always kind and patient and he went out of his way to welcome us and to connect us with the local church communities. When Bill learned of my husbands passing on December 25, he was genuinely touched and saddened. Bill practiced what Jesus preached. He welcomed the stranger and loved his neighbor as himself. llMay he rest in peace.

I am so sad to have just learned of Bills passing. I enjoyed him so very much. What a sweet man. He did many tree removal jobs for us. Ill miss him - he was an institution in CK. 😢

I knew Bill through my parents (Don and Carol Joyce) who lived at Cedar Key. Bill was very kind to me and a very gentle soul. I wish there were more people like him. He will be missed.
