Wilma Asbell

Wilma Jean Asbell, 85, of Bronson passed away on April 6,2023. Mrs. Asbell was born on June 9, 1937 in Trenton Fl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Weeks Asbell, her parents G.W. and Lois Arrington, her sister, Betty Watson, her brothers Wayne and David Arrington, all of the Trenton area; and one grandson, Cale Barber of Williston. She is survived by her children, Janice (Norm) Fugate of Williston, Marcia (Johnny) Smith of Bronson and Wesley Asbell of Gainesville, 6 grandchildren (Mandi, Nic, Blake, Hunter, Miranda and Landon) and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister in laws, RIta Arrington and Cindy Watson, along with many nieces and nephews. Wilma Jean was a 1955 graduate of Chiefland HIgh School and worked as an accounting clerk for Florida Farm Bureau Insurance for 40 years. She retired in 1996 and enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Funeral services for Ms. Asbell will be held on Tuesday. April 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church. The family will hold a visitation time one hour prior to the service. Interment at Ebenezer Baptist Church will follow the service.
