Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sharon Wygant, of Chiefland, Florida, who departed this life at the age of 67, on April 8th , 2026.
Sharon was the devoted wife of Clayton Wygant, with whom she shared more than 40 years of love, partnership, and cherished memories. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and unwavering commitment.
She leaves behind her loving children: Sarah Griffin (Logan), Kayla Dexter (Julius), and Hayden Wygant
(Dollie), who will forever carry her love and guidance in their hearts.
She was a proud and adoring Grammy who found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren, creating memories filled with warmth,
laughter, and love.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah Gwendolyn Brown and Hydrick Augustine Brown, as well as her beloved grandson, Xavier Lamar Dexter.
A devoted woman of God, Sharon was a faithful member of Eagle’s Point Fellowship in Chiefland, where her faith was evident in the way she lived and loved others. She had a servant’s heart and found joy in caring for those around her. She loved baking and cooking, often bringing people together through food and fellowship. A true foodie at heart, she delighted in trying new dishes and sharing meals with those she loved. Sharon also had a creative spirit and enjoyed crafting homemade treasures, often giving them as heartfelt gifts. She loved shopping, especially when it meant finding something special for someone else, reflecting her generous and thoughtful nature. Sharon was also an avid Florida State Seminoles football fan who never missed a game. She cheered passionately and was often the loudest in the room, proudly supporting her team with a joyful spirit—“Go FSU!!!!”
Above all, she treasured time spent with her family, who meant everything to her. Sharon’s life was a beautiful testament to love, faith, and family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy will live on in the lives of her children, the people she touched, and the love she gave so freely.
