Eugene Wilson

Eugene Errol Wilson passed away suddenly in Georgia on March 4, 2023. He was from Fanning Springs, FL and resided in Ocala, FL. He was 47 years old. Errol was born on January 5, 1976 to his mother Brenda Marie Wilson and his father Eugene Earl Wilson in Homestead, FL. Errol acquired his GED and went on to work as a painter, a harvester, and spent most of his career working throughout the United States and Puerto Rico as an Ironworker/Rigger in the construction industry. In August of 2013 Errol met "The Love of His Life," Sherry Lynn Swilley. Together Errol and Sherry worked side by side for many years. He and Sherry enjoyed the outdoors together, especially their mutual love of hunting and fishing. Errol is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother (Betty Lou Lonic), his maternal grandfather (Benjamin J. Lonic), his paternal grandfather (Eugene F. Wilson), his mother (Brenda M. Wilson), his father (Eugene "Gene" Wilson), four uncles (Butch, Bernie, Brian and Ben Lonic) and one cousin {Brian "Bubba" Lonic Jr.) and his "Aunt Sue" (Sue Nesmith). He is survived by his Love and Soulmate (Sherry L. Swilley) and her family, his paternal grandmother (Dodie Reck), several Aunts (Beverly Dearing, Gail and Joyce Lonic and Alice Taylor) along with many cousins, second cousins, and countless friends. Funeral arrangements are under Knauff Funeral Home in Chiefland, Fl. Services to be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m with a visitation held one hour prior.
