Verna White

Verna Mae White was born September 22, 1941 in Montour Falls, NY, and passed on February 26, 2023 in Williston, FL. She graduated from Romulus High School in 1959, attended the Central City Business Institute (CCBI), and soon began her life as an administrative professional. She lived in Syracuse NY for most of her life, becoming a snowbird to Florida after she retired, never wavering in her support of the Syracuse University Orange Basketball team. She attended New Life Ministries in Syracuse NY, Bronson Road Church in Newberry, FL, and enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, and collecting Pepsi paraphernalia. She was the best Aunt in the world and helped mind her myriad of nieces and nephews on her days off, often playing along with every silly shenanigans they got up to. She is predeceased by her parents, George A. White, and Laura (Locke) White, and two siblings, brother Merle White and sister Helen White Lewin. She is survived by one sister, Jean McWhorter of Ovid, NY, 4 brothers. Gerald White of Columbia, SC, Glenn White of Caywood, NY, Donny White of Interlaken NY, and Norman (Karen) White of Bergen, NY; and several nieces and nephews scattered across the country.
