Donn was a solid, wonderful friend & fishin' buddy; We also enjoyed his company during the "Rocky Hammock Wine & Dine Club" era with other neighbors & friends in Chiefland. We're gonna miss ya, Doc. Godspeed Dr. Keels...R.I.P. amigo.

I had the pleasure of working for Dr. Keels in his Bradenton office across from Shannon Funeral Home. We worked hard but had so much fun! Lots of laughing and comradery. His wife, Marilyn, also worked there running the front office. As well as two wonderful nurses. Dr. Keels really knew his medicine! He treated so many community people. When he retired and they moved to Chiefland they gave me their ring necked parrot, Peaches. I already had a small love bird named Peaches. So my daughter and I had our hands full! Big Peaches could talk and was a true character for many years! Quite the entertainer....just like Doc and Marilyn. I know the Keels LOVED their Chiefland home. And I am so glad they got to live out their lives there among the deer and nature. And also very glad to know he still kept on practicing medicine for a very long time. My condolences to the family. Doc was quite the guy! He left his mark on many grateful people. And his legacy will live on.

A true Renaissance Man. He knew about medicine and nature and life. I was fortunate to have worked along side him for many years. My thoughts and condolences to you as I know you will miss him dearly.
