Marie Murray, resident of Otter Creek, Florida passed away at 4:05 pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. She was 73 years old. Marie was born on November 18, 1949 to J.C. and Mary Lee Hudson. She is preceded in death by both of her parents J.C. and Mary Lee Hudson, husband Robert Murray, and 4 siblings J.C. Hudson Jr., Helen Burnett, James Perry and Dole Ray. She is survived by 2 daughters Colleen Morris (Michael Petrone) and Connie Coffman (Scott), 5 grandchildren Chrissy Morris, Kristin Padgett, Cheyenne Barber, Heath Padgett (Kaitlyn) and Savanna Barber, 9 great grandchildren Kaitlynn, Colby, Bentley, Jayden, Braxton, Aubrielle, River, Lakelynn and Gregory. She also left behind 7 sisters Candy (Bo), Janie Carol (Rob), Mary Jane, Sissy (Skip), Joyce, Darlene, Karen (Tim) and 2 brothers Chester (Sheila), Billy Earl (Phyllis) and so many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Marie lived her whole life in Otter Creek, Florida and attended Bronson High School where she kept in contact with most of her classmates. Marie worked at the Chiefland dry cleaners for 30 years and loved scratch offs, going to bingo and playing nickel poker with her sisters on Friday nights, but she always looked forward to her Sunday lunches with Savanna. She was always smiling, never met a stranger and would always treat you like family. She was a wonderful mother, granny, sister and aunt. Her beautiful blue eyes, heartwarming smile and wonderful soul will truly be missed. A funeral service will be held at Knauff Funeral Home in Chiefland, Florida on Monday, January 2, 2023 at 11:00 am with a visitation held one hour prior. Burial will be held at the Chiefland City Cemetery. Pastor Stevie Williams and Brother Billy Keith will officiate. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Knauff Funeral Home in Chiefland, Florida. I couldn't even begin to describe the heart warming love that this sweet lady could project in any area she was in. She passed on this talent to her children, which the whole family has kept going for years. If you had never experienced the love and kindness she gave, then you missed out on something wonderful. She always made me feel loved and at home no matter the location or situation. I can only compare her in high standards.....like my mother.
