Gordon Anderson, Sr.

Gordon Kenneth Anderson Sr.(G.K.) of Williston, Fl passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on November 5th, 2022 at the age of 93. He was born on August 4th, 1929 in Williston, FL, to Gordon and Lola Glen Anderson. He attended Reddick High School where he lettered in football in 1945 and 1946. After graduating from high school in 1948, he joined the Navy where he served for the next four years. He was discharged from the Navy in June of 1952 and went to work for Southern Bell/AT&T where he was employed for 35 years. After retiring in 1987, he enjoyed gardening, woodworking, fishing with his grandchildren and spending time with his family. G.K. is survived by his wife Bettie J. Anderson, his children Kenny(Kandrice) Anderson, Darlene Wallace, and Karen(Lanny) Mathis, his step-children Jada Getsay, Joey Jay, and Jimmy Jay, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Lola Glen Anderson, his brother Gary Anderson and his wife of 48 years, Clara N. Anderson, the loving mother of his children. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Orange Hill Cemetery with Brother Billy Keith officiating.
