Ronald Sims

Ronald Lee "Ronnie" Sims, age 59, passed away on October 25th, 2022 at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL. He was born on March 29, 1963 in Tampa, FL to Austin and Carolyn Sims. He was an only child who was deeply devoted to his parents, his children, and his grandson. He was raised in the Baptist faith and as a young man played the guitar and piano for his church band. He also enjoyed family outings as well as hunting and fishing skills he learned from his dad. He worked as a crane operator for Sims Crane Service in Tampa for 40 years and had retired last spring. Ronnie is survived by his parents Austin and Carolyn Sims of Trenton, FL; his son Austin L. Sims of Denver, CO; his daughter Courtney L. Sims of Tampa, FL; and his grandson who was the light of his life Ladon Sims, also of Tampa. The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022 for a visitation at Knauff Funeral Home in Chiefland, FL from 1:00-2:00 pm. A service to honor Ronnie's life will then be held at 2:00 pm at Knauff Funeral Chapel in Chiefland with internment to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Trenton, FL.
