Obituary

Sharon Sue Jones, 87 of Williston, Florida passed away on February 25, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving children.


Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Cecil (Bud) Jones.


She is survived by her three children, Jeri Leigh Alfree (Bill Alfree), Teresa Shular of St. Petersburg, FL and Harry Wade Shular of Kennesaw, Georgia; one sister Karen Woodward of Fanning Springs, FL; four grandchildren Jerad, Ashley, Stephen, Adrienne, and two great grandchildren Isabel and Jeremiah.


A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2025 at Weems & Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm for a visitation. Pastor John Coker will officiate. Burial will follow at Orange Hill Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to VITAS Hospice Care in appreciation of their compassionate care.


All parking on the east side of chapel between Funeral Home and Williston Home Furnishings

Arrangements are entrusted to Weems & Sons Funeral Home, 512 East Noble Avenue Williston, FL 32696.

Miss Sharon was such a kind soul. I’m so privileged to have been her neighbor and friend. She and Bud adopted our dogs as their own, and spoiled them while we were at work. I’m sure she and Bud are in Heaven spoiling our dogs with bacon and eggs and little chunks of chicken placed on their tongues. Sharon was so sweet, and will be missed by all who knew her.
