Obituary
Elizabeth (Betty Anne) Winningham Taylor, age 81, devoted mother and grandmother, passed away on the 21st of September after a courageous battle with cancer. Betty Anne was born in 1941 in New Bedford, Massachusetts to Joseph Camille and Hilda Souza. She grew up as the oldest of four with three younger brothers. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Ronald, Kenneth, and Joseph Camille. Betty Anne will always be remembered as a loving, loyal, and devoted mother. She was always willing to give everything she had in order that her loved ones were provided for. She is survived by her two sons, Cory Winningham (Deborah) and Jack Winningham. Her four grandchildren, Brittany Micheletti, Chad Winningham (Nicole), Katherine Taylor (Eric) and Brandy Langston (Michael) and her ten great grandchildren, Michael, Mckenzie, Blaike, Braxton, Brogan, Maverick, Miley, Sydney, Aliza and Norah. Betty Anne was a hard-working woman, who worked and managed in various fields. She began her career as a seamstress in Ocala at Lady Bayard. She later worked and managed at the Food Ranch, Winn Dixie, Hitchcocks, Ivy House Restaurant and Dixies Antiques. She was loved and revered by many for her work ethic and loyalty. Betty Anne was a friend to many and always had a listening ear. Due to her compassionate heart, she also had a big love for animals. Over the years, she was a loving caretaker of many dogs. She often took dogs in their later years and provided love for them in their final days. When she was able, Betty Anne attended Williston First Baptist Church and enjoyed her time spent with the women in her Sunday school. During her final days, she knew the Lord was with and trusted He would help her through whatever else she had to face. A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at the Knauff Funeral Home of Williston from 3-5 PM. Knauff Funeral Home of Williston is honored to serve the Taylor family during their time of transition. Dear Cory, Jack, Grandchildren & great-grandchildren, We are terribly saddened and sorry to hear about the passing of your sweet, caring and God fearing Mother/Grandmother. I thought the world of her ! We know all of you will miss her so very much as well as all who new and loved her !
