Carol Geiger

Carol passed on August 8, 2022 at her home, after a long period of declining health. She was born on December 21, 1932, in Akron, Ohio to Laura Helen Craig. She was raised in foster homes most of her younger life. She married Benjamin Burbine in October 1950 and had one son (Bruce) and they were divorced in September 1952. She married John Geiger in December 1952 in Lewiston, Maine. The lived in Lewiston until John was transferred and she moved to Florida, while he went overseas with the Navy. She and John had four children, John, Randy, Kathy, and Debbie. Her husband passed in 2006. Carol studied and became a Licensed Practical Nurse, and later became a Registered Nurse in 1973. She worked in nursing homes and later at the Veterans Administration Nursing Home in Gainesville. She is survived by her children John, Kathy, and Debbie and 10 grandkids and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sons; Bruce and Randy. A Visitation will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 11am to 12noon at Knauff Funeral Home 512 E. Noble Avenue Williston, FL. A Memorial Service will follow in the Knauff Funeral Home Chapel. Carol will be interned in the Orange Hill Cemetery in Williston, Florida, next to her husband, John.
