Jack R. Brooks, resident of Bronson, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at the age of 71.He was a loving father, brother and husband. He retired from FPL after working with them for 51 years. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, fishing, ping pong and spending time with his family and friends. He graduated from Miami Springs SR high school in 1969 where he married his high school sweetheart.He is survived by his daughter Kimberly and husband Chris, daughter Janessa, sister Debbie and her husband Al, his sister in law Helen and her two children Matthew and Hannah and his loving girlfriend Laura.He is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years Mary, his father Jack, his mother Margie and his two grandchildren Kellie and Kyler.A viewing will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Knauff Funeral Home in Williston, Florida from 5-7pm and a Graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at the Orange Hill Cemetery in Williston, Florida at 9am. Knauff Funeral Home of Williston is honored to serve the Brooks family during their time of transition. Jack was a kind person. I met Jack when he worked for FPL in Palatka, FL. He worked with my husband John many years before I began working at FPL . He was always so kind to me and called me Shelly. It is funny how both Jack and his wife were in Palatka and moved to Deland, FL. My husband and I also lived in Welaka and relocated to DeLand. He always sent us a Christmas card every year. I had not seen Jack in many years as he relocated to Williston, FL. He was always a sweet person to me. I will sincerely miss him. Rest in peace Jack!
