Obituary
Donald J. Miller (Pop), 77 of Cedar Key, FL. passed away on Friday, July 8 th at the Gainesville Veterans Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. Don was born in Cedar Key and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a retired commercial fisherman who loved the outdoors but most of all spending time with his family. Don is proceeded in death by his parents Oliver and Margaret, his sisters Diane Esslinger, Wynell Hathcox, and Faye Fenton and his partner of 25 years Sharon Moody. He is survived by his son Marlon J. Miller, his wife Jennifer and their children Bryndle and Seth, daughters Monica Miller and her children and Renee Douglas and her children, sisters Barbara McJordan and Linda Mann. Sharons children Melissa Ross and Robert Moody, her grandchildren Daphne Shade, Kacey Ross and Paden Ross and her great grandchildren Zalyee Shade, Zoyee Eberhardt, and Charlie Ross and a host of close friends. The family will have a graveside service with Military Honors celebrating Dons life on Thursday, July 14th at 10:00 am at the Cedar Key Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dons life.
