Joseph Williams

Joseph "Snatcher" Williams, 58, of Chiefland FL, was surrounded by his loving family when he peacefully passed away on June 26th, 2022 at Shands Hospital. Joseph had an impressive career as an over-the-road truck driver, but his greatest joy was spending time with family. Born to Jo Ellen Spears and Roy Denton Williams of Chiefland, he is survived by his siblings: Darlene (Ronnie) Arrington, Donna Miller, and Hank (Donna) Williams; his children, Stevie Bryant, Kirstie Williams, Shana (Libby) Knight Scott, and Chase Williams; as well as nine grandchildren and the many nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him dearly. Joseph was so beloved by his family that his cousins, Willie Williams and Tony Crews, were more like brothers to him. Williams Mountain, in Roane County, Tennessee, was Josephs favorite vacation spot. He loved bringing his family there to visit mud bogs, ride dirt roads, and sit around the fire recounting the good memories and good times had by all. It was here that you could catch some of Josephs favorite sayings, like "Hanging in there like hair in a biscuit". A service will be held on July 9th from 1 - 3 pm at Knauffs Funeral home in Chiefland Fl. A celebration of life will be held after at his daughter Shana's (Libby) home in Trenton Fl. Memorial contributions can be made to the Bone Marrow Transplant unit of Shand's.
