Obituary
Cecilia Judith Marie Rains was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly on May 21, 2022, at age 59, after a 4- year-long battle with Cancer. She was born to Cecil and Robbie Collins on September 14th, 1962, in Gainesville, Fl. After graduating from high school, Cecilia married her husband, Dwayne Rains in 1980. The two were lifelong companions and Friends. Together, they were blessed with 4 children: Chad (Monica), Travis, John Henry and Quentin. Cecilia was a Nursing Assistant and cared for patients in their homes through Hospice. Caring for others was what she did best. Caring for her children and grandchildren were her greatest joys in life. Cecilia loved spending time with her family and would often host dinners to have her family together. Cecilia also loved traveling, gardening, and being there for others. Cecilia was preceded in death by her father Cecil J. Collins and younger sister Tammy Collins. Cecilia is survived by her loving husband, 4 children, and 5 grandchildren, Mason, Pyper, Olivia, Logan, and Nolan. She leaves behind her mother Robbie Collins, sister Betty Guilford, and brother Cecil Collins, and a host of family and friends. Cecilia was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. A Memorial Celebration is scheduled for 11 am on May 28th, 2022, at the Cedar Key Community Center on 8 th St. We are asking that those who would like to join us for this celebration, please bring a covered dish to share. My sister and I are so very saddened by the loss of Mrs. Cecilia Rains. Gloria had told me about how loving she was. We know she now is an Angel in Heaven with her Lord. May God grant you peace and comfort.

I loved Mrs Cecilia very much she was a second mom to me for many years, this world is a little darker without her smile to brighten it, she always had one of the biggest, warmest smiles, I will never forget her.
