Robert Bergeron

Robert Albert Bergeron, 76, of Chiefland, Florida, passed away on February 6, 2026, at home, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on April 19, 1949, in Berlin, New Hampshire, Robert was the son of Rene Bergeron Sr. and Beatrice Bergeron. He graduated from Berlin High School and went on to earn numerous certificates through various trade schools.

Robert, known to many as Bob, worked as an instrumentation technician for James River Paper Company, where he also served as Vice President of Local Union 75. He later owned and operated A&R Fruit and Variety Store on Main Street in Berlin. After relocating to Florida, he worked as a wastewater treatment manager for the City of St. Petersburg.

Bob was known for his kindness, humor, strength, faith, generosity, and deep love for his family. He enjoyed golfing, RV camping, sports, and celebrating life with those he loved. Those who knew him will always remember his devotion to his wife and his unwavering commitment to his family. He truly lived life to the fullest.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Alice (Girouard) Bergeron; his children, Kathy Tremblay and her husband Paul Tremblay, and Robert Bergeron Jr. and his wife Michele Bergeron; his six grandchildren, Kayla Tremblay and her husband Alex Schwirian, Karyn Tremblay and her husband Chase Slaughter, Bobby Bergeron, Amber Bergeron, Nicolas Tremblay, and Krysten Tremblay; and his four great-grandchildren, Kennedy Slaughter, Joshua Schwirian, Bradley Schwirian, and Oliver Bergeron.

He is also survived by his five siblings: Janet Mercier, Norman “Boxer” Bergeron, Louise Christiansen, Darlene Lemieux, and Helen Hodgman.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rene Bergeron Sr., his mother, Beatrice Bergeron, and his brother, Rene Bergeron Jr.

A celebration of life will be held on April 19, 2026.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
