Obituary
Clara Ashdown, 81, of Williston Florida went to be with the Lord on Monday afternoon May 16, 2022. Clara was born on May 23, 1940 in Trenton, Fl and is the daughter of J.G. and Stella Clark. Clara graduated from Trenton High School and worked as an office manager for a propane company for many years. She loved her family and she cherished the time she spent with them. Clara is survived by her daughters Cindy Cannon (Homer) of Williston, Fl and Renee Mathis (Billy) of Gainesville Fl, her Grandsons John Mathis (Meagan), Jason Stewart (Natasha), Vance Faircloth, and Granddaughter Keirstin Faircloth, her siblings, Alice Richburg, Christine Smith, Bill Clark, John Clark, and her Great Grandchildren, Sophia, Kenzleigh, Trace, Dallas, Alyssa, Breanna, Finn and Tessa. Clara was preceded in death by her husband Fred Ashdown, her parents J.G. and Stella Clark, her son David F. Faircloth Jr. , her siblings, Ruby Browning, Myrtle Boggs, Hazel Ripley, Betty Collins, J. C. Clark, and Wilson Clark, her Granddaughter Shelby Mathis, and Great Grandson Gideon. A graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2022 at Orange Hill Cemetery in Williston Florida. Knauff Funeral Home of Williston is honored to serve the Ashdown family during their time of transition.
