Obituary
Lillian May Holloway Fricker Lillian was born on February 11, 1926 in Lake Wales, Florida to Virginia and John Holloway, and had two brothers Clifton and William (Red). Lillian attended Jackson Senior High School in Miami, Florida. She would later go on to become a "Rosie Riveter" woman while her two brothers went off to war. It was during that time that she met the love of her life, William "Buddy" Fricker. Upon Buddys return from the war, the two were married on April 14, 1946 in Miami, Florida and had two amazing daughters, Betty Jo and Hila Ann. They resided in Miami, Florida until 1983 when they relocated to Chiefland, Florida. During the 39 years that Lillian lived in Chiefland, she was involved with her church Pine Grove Baptist in many ways, including singing in the choir, worshipping with her Sunday School group, volunteering in several community events, as well as being involved in the VFW Womens Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge. Lillian is survived by her beautiful daughters Betty Jo (Russell) and Hila Ann (Ed); 5 precious grandchildren Russell Jr., Tammy (Charles), Bobby(Laura), Cindy(Alex) and Eddie(Amanda); 7 great grandchildren Ashley(Frank), Kevin(Zelina), Alisha(Raul), Robby(Shelly), Briana, Madison, and Joseph; as well as 14 great-great grandchildren Savannah, Sophia, Stella, Angel, Aleeah, Neveah, Amyah, Kali, Layla, Mila, Alaina, Wyatt, Whitney, and Jackson; and several nieces and nephews. On Sunday, April 10, 2022, Lillian peacefully left this world surrounded by her daughters and granddaughters in her home. She was 96 years old and the true definition of LOVE. She was calm, courageous, gentle, smart, fun loving and timeless. A lady in every way. Lillian will be laid to rest on April 14, 2022, next to her beloved husband, Buddy. They will be reunited on what would have been their "76th" wedding anniversary, where they will dance for eternity. A viewing will be held for family and friends on Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 10:00 -11:00 a.m, at Pine Grove Baptist Church, 16655 NW County Road 339, Trenton, FL, immediately followed by a church service and on-site burial. Arrangements are under the care of Knauff Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests a monetary donation that will ultimately be given to Lillians wonderful caregivers. Mimi was the epitome of a perfect lady and an example of regal aging. She was always a positive role model! Blessed to have shared so many amazing moments with her during my childhood. I loved her so much and I am thrilled shell reunite with her love! 😘😘😘
