Dixie Howell

Dixie Howell was granted her angel wings on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at 8:45am. Her final days were spent at home surrounded by her loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Dixie was born on September 5, 1953, to Jewel and Archie Munden. She was a lifelong resident of Williston and graduated from Williston High School in 1971. She was a long-time employee at Perkins State Bank before she started her dream of owning her own store. In 1997, she opened Dixies Antiques in Williston. She was an owner of Howell Logging (Cracker Sawmill and Cracker Log Home Sales) and Creek Bottom ATV Park. She loved to go "junking and antiquing", reading, traveling and putting puzzles together but most of all she loved to spend time with her family and friends. Dixie is survived by her husband of 37 years, Bubba Howell; Son and Daughter in law, Dusty and Jennifer Holder; She was a proud Nana to her Grandson, Loghan "Cotton" Holder; Brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Lori Munden and his children, Ashley Cain (Timothy Cain, son Sawyer and daughter Emery Jewel); Garrett Munden (Jessica Vance, Son Ridge, and Mason) and Rowdy Munden; Aunt Yvonne "Toolie" Hopping Bowden and other nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Jewel, and Archie Munden; her brother, Arthur Munden and her brother Raymond Munden. To honor Dixies request, a private service will be held.
