Johnnie Lewis Plummer, 55, of Gulf Hammock, passed away on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022. Johnnie was born on June 5th, 1966, in Williston, Florida. Soon after, Johnnie was brought home to Gulf Hammock, by Carl and Vera Jean (Becky) Plummer, his Mother and Father. Johnnie spent his life surrounded by family: aunts, uncles, cousins, and many more that filled the Hammock with adventures. After graduating with a GED, Johnnie continued his education with a Degree in Automotive Technician and years later furthered it with Commercial Driving from Central Florida College. Johnnie was married twice. First to Michelle Quick, they went on to have one daughter, Christina Nikole Plummer (33yrs). In 1992, Johnnie met April and they were married 6 years later on June 10th, 1999. Together they had two children: daughter Elizabeth Jean Plummer (23yrs) and son Johnnie Lewis Plummer Jr (19yrs). Johnnie has been a member of the Otter Creek Baptist Church since 1972 when he joined with his mother, Becky. In 2002, after his daughter, Christinas Baptism, he rededicated his life to the Lord. Soon after his wife, April followed. Since this time, Johnnie became a follower of Jesus and became leader for the Lord through ministry. His children Elizabeth and Johnnie Jr. also dedicated their lives to God. Johnnie volunteered in many ministries to help others fellowship and grow closer to God. Two of those ministries were at Creekside Christian School and the Otter Creek Awanas program which were the highlights of his days. Johnnie is preceded in death by: His parents, Carl and Vera Plummer, Anne Mae Baldree (grand-mother), Catherine Birtis Mcallister (mother), Tommy Lee Wilder (Brother), Charlie and Brenda Porter (Mother and Father in law) Survived By: April (wife), Elizabeth, Johnnie Jr. and Christina (Children), RaiLynn and Luke (grandchildren), PJ (Son-n-Law), Charlie (Brother-n-Law), Ola Mae (Aunt), Willard and Eugenia (Aunt and Uncle), Bill, Carroll and Dennis (Siblings); Tim, Lisa and Medeia (Siblings) and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins. Services will be held at Otter Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, March 19th, 2022 at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Creekside Christian School in honor of Johnnie L Plummer. Knauff Funeral Home is honored to serve the Plummer family in this time of transition. Johnnie and I attended Bronson elementary, middle, & high school together. He was a sweet soul and will be missed. Thank you for sharing Gods love with those you crossed paths with, Johnnie. I was privileged to call you friend.

Mr. Johnnie will always have a special place in my children's hearts, Kaleb and Mende. We all got to know him when they attended Creekside Christian. He was always there during school events cheering the kids on and showing them support in all of there activities. He will be missed. Praying for your family 🙏🏼

I worked with Johnnie at awanas. He always helped with whatever needed to be done. I remember he also came to our house after hurricanes to see if we were ok and if we needed anything.

I went to school with Johnnie. He was very nice and easy going. I never knew of anyone who didnt like him. I am so sorry he is gone so young but glad he is with his Father.

I didn't know Mr johnnie as long as some of the others did at creekside but for the time that I met him he was an awesome man who cared about helping others.
