Obituary
Shirley Ann Tarquinio was born November 10, 1946 in Cross City, FL to Johnny J Mullis and Mae (Galbreath) Mullis. She grew up in the Dixie and Levy County area. She met her husband, of 56 years, Francis (Frank) Tarquinio at Stephen Fosters Resturant in Fanning Springs, FL. When he was stationed at the Cross City Air Force Radar site. They were married on November 6, 1966 in Bronson, FL. She was a resident of Levy County for most of her life except for time spent in Rome, NY, Longwood, FL, Debary, FL and Flower Mound, TX. She was a "people" person and enjoyed meeting and talking with them. She had a way of making you feel like you were very special. Her favorite time of year was Christmas, she could not wait for it to arrive. Although she also loved to celebrate other holidays and especially birthdays. She was an avid Gator Footbal fan. She enjoyed watching NASCAR races and was a Jimmie Johnson fan. She was also an animal lover and over the years had many, many cats and dogs she cared for. Shirley is survived by her husband Francis, daughter Janet of LaFayette, Ga., son Kevin of Chiefland, FL. and sister Linda Holder of Chiefland, FL. She is preceded by her parents and Sister Christine Hatcher. Visitation/Viewing will be held Saturday, March 5 at Knauff Funeral Home 715 W. Park Ave, Chiefland, FL from 4pm to 6pm. Cremains will be intered at Chiefland Cemetery. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or your favorite charity. Knauff Funeral Home is honored to serve the Tarquinio family in this time of transition.
