Cheryl Etheridge

Cheryl Diane Etheridge went home to be with the Lord Monday, February 28th, 2022 after a short sickness. She will be remembered fondly by family and friends as a very devoted mother to her two sons, Randy and Jacob. Cheryl was born August 24, 1948 and was a lifelong resident of Chiefland, Florida. As a student at Chiefland High School, she participated in many extracurricular activities including F.H.A. (Future Homemakers of America) and Basketball. She graduated from CHS with the class of 1966 and has maintained close friendships with her classmates throughout her life. Cheryl studied at Central Florida Community College. After retiring from the Levy County Tax Collectors Office, she spent her free time enjoying interior design and decorating. Her other hobbies included photography, antiquing, watching movies with family, and spending time with her friends and classmates. Cheryl also spent many happy hours caring for her family of cats. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Grenell and Hazel Etheridge and her beloved Grandmother, Bessie Etheridge. She is survived by her sons, Randy and Jacob of Chiefland; granddaughter, Lauren Etheridge Gaydos and great-granddaughter, Scarlett of Gainesville. Cheryl leaves behind a very large extended family and many friends, including special friend, Paul Veal. In lieu of flowers, Cheryls family would like to request donations be made to the Class of 1966 Scholarship Fund at Drummond Community Bank. This fund was Cheryls passion. It was her desire to assist Chiefland High School graduates with furthering their education. Knauff Funeral Home is honored to serve the Etheridge family during this time of transition.
