Aka Elizabeth Anne Rodgers, 7/3/1941 2/18/2022 Anne Rodgers Beard, aged 80, was born July 3rd, 1941 in Gainesville, FL and passed on to her Heavenly place on February 18, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Sara Rodgers of Chiefland, FL, a brother, Lewis Rodgers of Jacksonville, FL. and her husband, Charles Beard of Gainesville, FL. She leaves behind two children, Linda Barton (Greg) and Lisa White; seven grandchildren: Sara Strickland (Shaun), Lauren Biscardi (Stephen), Aaron Barton (Rainy), Jesse Longshore, Hannah Barton, Nathan Barton, and Kendell White; two great-grandchildren: Lincoln Barton and Adalyn Anne Biscardi. She is also survived by brothers Benjamin Rodgers (Lily) and Plant Rodgers (Becky) and sister Karen Pankow (John). Services are to be held Tuesday, February 22nd at Knauff Funeral Home, Chiefland, FL at 11:00am. The family will be welcoming other family and friends beginning at 10:00am to visit and pay respects. Interment in the Old Chiefland Cemetery will take place immediately following the Chapel service. Knauff Funeral Home is honored to serve the Beard family in this time of transition. Extending sincere sympathy to the families of Anne Beard. I have had the pleasure of knowing Anne for many years as Greg & Linda are our next door neighbors & our kids have grown up together. For the family of Anne, I am so sorry to hear of Anne's passing. Although I haven't seen or been in contact with Anne for many years, we shared dozens and dozens of lunches together when we worked at the Alachua County courthouse and spent time together during our off hours. I always cherished the friendship we had. She was a wonderful, smart, interesting, and fun person. May she rest in in peace. My sympathies to her wonderful family.
