Obituary
Mr. Robert Charles Knight was born on June 21, 1941 in Lakeside, Ohio to his parents Robert & Velma Knight. Robert Charles Knight passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 in Gainesville, Florida. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Southern Bell/AT&T. Survivors include wife Mona of Chiefland; son Randy and wife Tabatha of Winder, GA; daughter Jennifer and husband Todd of Jacksonville, Fl; sister Barbara Harger of Lakeside OH, grandson Zachary and wife Holly of Ketchikan, AK; grandson Harrison of Ft Worth, TX, and granddaughter Emily of Jacksonville, FL along with many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives. Visitation will be start at 10:00 am followed by A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Knight at the First Baptist Church of Chiefland on Friday, February 25th 2022 at 11:00 am. Pastor Kris Mullis will be officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to First Baptist Building Fund, 511 N Young Blvd, Chiefland, FL 32626 or Friends of Children of North Central Florida, PO Box 358502, Gainesville, FL 32632 Knauff Funeral Home is honored to serve the Knight family during this time of transition. Mrs. Mona, Jennifer, Randy, and family;Im so sorry to hear about Mr. Bob. I have such fond memories of him always joking around whether I was at the house playing with Jennifer or at Southern Bell when he would come in the office. I know he will be missed. Praying for you all. Love, Val

Bob was the first person we met when we bought our home in the neighborhood. He helped us immensely and kept an eye on our house when we weren't there. He will be sorely missed. We wish comfort to Mona and his family.

Mrs. Mona; I am not the best at writing these types of things, and I am overcome with sadness to hear of the passing of Mr. Bob Bob. He was an amazing man of God and an amazing influence on my life. I will certainly miss seeing him ride around the neighborhood and stopping to talk for a spell. Feel free to reach out to my family or me if yall need anything! Were praying for yall. Love the Wards!!
