Obituary

Gina Joan Harrison, 71, of Dunnellon, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.


Affectionately known as “Gigi” by her beloved grandchildren, Gina was born in Connecticut to her parents, Cosmo Ardito and Julia Triano. She spent most of her life in Florida, where she built a life centered around family, love, and generosity.


Gina had a heart that embraced everyone she met. She cared deeply for others and would do anything for anyone in need. Her warmth, kindness, and selfless spirit will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.


She was preceded in death by her husband John Harrison and her son, Kenneth Michael Benjamin.


Gina is survived by her loving daughter, Kiara Benjamin (Justin); her son, Kevin Michael Benjamin; her cherished grandchildren, Preston, Kalista, Aolani, Dylan, Kaleb, Liam, Mila, and Lilliana; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Avery, Callie, and Jackson.


Arrangements are entrusted to Weems & Sons Funeral Home of Williston.

Dear my most beautiful mom, I am so thankful and grateful that you were my mommy. All the beautiful memories I shared with you. I will treasure forever. You had a heart a gold and would do anything for anybody. So loving! So kind so giving you really would do anything for anybody. A world without you in it right now is weird. I think of you and miss you every second of the day. The relationship I had with you I will treasure forever. You were truly my best friend. And damn you were the best Gigi in the whole world! The love you had for your grandbabies and Great! Grandbabies was something so beautiful. ❤️ I love you mom so much!

Growing up down the street Kiara and I were always together for the few years I lived there. Her brother got a 3 bicycle and she came and picked me up. I hopped in the basket and she decided to show everyone the trick of going up on 2 wheels. In dramatic fashion I flew out of the basket onto the street. Gina, who I always remember being physically so tiny but with such a big loving presence. She came and scooped me up like it was nothing and carried me home. Like a tiny SuperWoman! She loved the neighborhood kids ans we loved her back. I will remember her always with nothing but love.
