Kemi Reynolds

Obituary
Kemi Opal Rose Reynolds passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022, in an automobile accident on her way home from work. She was born on December 5th, 1999, in Atlanta, Georgia. She was only 22. Kemi was just 70 days away from graduating the Nursing Program at Rasmussen University. This was her dream! She worked so hard at maintaining a 4.0 while working full time. She was used to good grades, as she graduated from North Marion High School with honors. She was excited to start her career and make a difference in the World! During this time, she also worked as a Mental Health Tech at Mending Fences. She cared deeply about the patients and the work that she did. She made an impact, and her coworkers miss her terribly! In her short life, Kemi learned and did as much as she could about EVERYTHING! She was a boss girl!! She loved to read! Her library of Harry Potter, teen fiction, and random biographies are all worn and well read. And she always had at least 5 books in her car. She was an amazing artist, with makeup and pen! Her makeup was always perfect, and she had a sketch book full of bees, owls, and horsesall her favorite dcor items. Yet she would hunt gators, ride horses, show cattle, and one time even apprentice as a blacksmith! She is the epitome of "anything you can do I can do better". She was obsessed with her family and loved being the self-proclaimed "eccentric aunt that shows up to the party with fun stories and toys"! Kemi is survived by her parents, Glenn and Kathleen Maynard; grandparents, John and Glenna Napier; her siblings - Renda Webb; Dennis Reynolds; Rex and Nataiya Cooper; Travis and Sandra Reynolds; CJ and Allison Reynolds; Chad and Jenn Simpson; and Hosam Aldowery; nieces and nephews - Billy, Karli, Braydon, Kenton, Brkan, Edmond, Elijah, Elena Rose, and Cash; and several fiercely close friends! She is preceded in death by her brother Michael Webb. A celebration of life service will be held in the spring once her family can catch their breath and her out-of-town family can travel. Her parents ask that in lieu of flowers, donations in Kemis memory be made to the GoFundMe account set up in her honor that will contribute towards the costs for her Celebration of Life and a Scholarship in her name for other struggling students at Rasmussen at https://gofund.me/4aa74839.

I remember growing up in church with Kemi and hanging out many times at events. I recently came across the picture I added to this and instantly remembered all the good times we had together. My heart breaks for the family and all of us who knew Kemi. I love this dear family very much. Sending prayers and love.
