Obituary
James “Floyd” Rogers was born on April 15th 1939 in Trenton, Florida to Mary Pearl and William Cody Rogers. Floyd passed peacefully after a short illness on February 7th 2026 at Haven Hospice in Chiefland.
Floyd was married to the love of his life Reatha for 63 years and took care of and loved her until his last breath. Floyd retired from the State of Florida after 43 years as Agriculture Inspector for several surrounding counties. He took pride in his beautiful woodworking abilities that he loved to give to family and friends. He loved cattle, saws and dogs. Especially his dog Annie.
Floyd is preceded in death by his parents Mary Pearl & William Cody Rogers. Brothers, Austin, Farris, Felton & Willie. Sisters Ina & Katie and his grandson Garrett Rogers.
He is survived by his wife Reatha. Children, Denise (Alan) Mikell, Kelly (Leigh) Rogers, Maryann Bell & Kevin Rogers. 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was a member of Cherry Sink Church of Christ.
A private family memorial will be on a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Haven Hospice.
