Andrew Carr, Jr.

Andrew John Carr, Jr. Resident of Morriston, Florida, passed away on December 22, 2021 in Crystal River, Florida. He was 79. Mr. Carr was born on July 26, 1942 in Chester Pennsylvania to Andrew and Carmella Carr. He attended St. Roberts and St. James High School and during that time he joined the US Navy Service aboard the USS Linnet MSCO 24 and the USS Wasp CVS 18 and was stationed in Boston, MA during the Cuban missile crisis. After the Navy, he sailed for the Sun Oil Company on the Ohio Sun and some coastal barges. Andrew served on the Brookhaven Police Department in Delaware County, PA and later served in Dubois, Fremont County, Wyoming. He owned restaurants in Wyoming and Colorado and also operated a trucking company out of Hereford PA, he was co-owner of the Briar Patch Equine Services Company in Hereford. He was a member of the West End Boat Club, Chester, PA, and the Ancient order of Hibernians of Lehigh County, PA, the NYPD Emerald Society, American Legion Post 360 of Weatherly, Lehigh Valley HOG Chapter, Perryville, PA. Andrew enjoyed hand gun target shooting, boating and the open seas. Mr. Carr is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cynthia Hager Carr, Brother James (Joann) Carr of Ridgecrest, CA, Sister, Paula (Gerald) Troy of Drexel Hill, PA, son Andrew III of West Chester, PA, son Joseph (Lori) of Auburn, PA, step son, Craig Myers of Harleysville, PA, daughter, Stephanie (Richard) Stolpe of Weatherly, PA, daughter, Jennifer Carr of Weatherly, PA. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Joseph Carr, Chelsie Carr, Alexandra Carr, Bryden Hall, Breena Coxe, Hailey Coxe, Deanna Stolpe, Josephine Myers and two great grandsons, Neil Carr, Cole Crujeiras, and nieces and nephews. Knauff Funeral Home of Williston is honored to serve the Carr family during their time of transition.
