Samantha Vertommen

Samantha Dawn Vertommen was born November 11th, 1985 in Gainesville, FL, she went to be with the Lord doing what she loved on December 31st, 2021. She lived in Williston and graduated from Williston High School in 2004. She worked for Winn Dixie for a couple years before joining Ocala Eye where she found her career. Samantha married her high school sweetheart Earl Vertommen, II in 2007 and then had two boys. She loved hunting, her family and friends, enjoying every minute of life, but she loved "my 3 boys" the most. She is survived by her husband Earl Vertommen, II, her sons Jarryn and Rhett, her mother Dawn Crosby, father Kenneth (Betty) Crosby, Sr., sister Stephanie Crosby, in-laws Lavonda and Earl Vertommen, grandparents Marie Bowen, Norton (Carol) Scott. Preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Crosby, Jr., nephew Stuart Bishop and niece Sarah McArthur. A funeral service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Williston, Florida on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Judge Joe Smith will officiate.
