Mary Andrews

Mary Elizabeth Andrews, born on October 16, 1977 in Gainesville, FL, went peacefully into the presence of the Lord Jesus on Friday, November 19, 2021. Mary was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Mable Evans Andrews, maternal grandfather, H. H. "Bud" Hellriegel, mother, Barbara Joanne Hellriegel Andrews and father, Andy Dennis Andrews. She is survived by her maternal grandmother Barbara Hellriegel, sisters Amy J. Andrews de Miranda (Carlos and Daniela) and Martha Andrews Jakab (Kevin, Lindy, Jillian and Nick), and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Mary attended Countryside Christian School, in Gainesville, FL, from K - 12th grade, graduated from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA in 2003, obtained an MBA from Saint Leo University, Tampa, FL in 2018, and worked for CIT in Jacksonville, FL. Mary was incredibly funny and brightened every room she entered. Mary was a friend to all who knew her and was a caring and gentle soul who was loved by so many. She cherished her cats, friends and family and had a passion for running and fitness. Over the years, she completed multiple ultra-marathons, marathons, half-ironman triathlons, and numerous other road and mountain trail races. She qualified multiple times for the Boston marathon. Mary was a believer in Jesus Christ and attended The Church of Eleven22 in Jacksonville, Florida. Visitation service will be held on Friday, November 26 from 4 - 6 PM at the Knauff Funeral Home in Chiefland, FL. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 27 at 10AM at Countryside Baptist Church in Gainesville, FL, followed by burial at the Chiefland Cemetery.
