Obituary

Gerald "Jerry" Coleman Buckley was born on July 18, 1946 in Covington, Kentucky. Jerry was born to his father Stanley L. Buckley and mother Pearl Buckley (Derminio). Gerald went to Covington Latin School in Covington, Kentucky where he graduated. He also went to St. Vincents grammar school in Newport, Kentucky, Later attending College at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio as well at taking multiple graduate courses in the Miami, Florida area. Jerry was a pharmacist, working with many major hospitals in Miami and later continuing his career in medicine in North Central Florida. Some of his hobbies included tennis, golf, fishing and hunting, and spending time with his dogs and cats who were more like his children. Jerry loved to travel and see new places, Jerry and Marilyn walked the Great Wall of China together. Jerry is preceded in death by both of his parents Stanley L. Buckley and his mother Pearl. Jerry is survived by his wife Marilyn Buckley (Mazur), two sisters Sharon Ruschman (Greg Sr.) and Linda Oberhausen (Brent), his adopted sister Peggy Schmidt and many nieces and nephews. Jerry was blessed with numerous nieces and nephews, Marla Schwartz (Gregory), Dia Rose, Gina Fromeyer, Gregory Ruschman (Heather), Angela Cummins (Rodney), Matthew Mazur (Chrissie). Grandnieces Mariah Cox (Joe), Madison Cummins, Carilee Schwartz; Great nephews Cody Cummins, Joe Cox Jr. and Wyatt Cox; Great Niece Lacey Cox. The family asks that if you would like to donate in Jerrys honor to send any contributions to the following organizations Living Water Life Center 6491 South East 123 Terrace Morriston, FL 32668, St Judes Childrens Hospital, Estelles House Hospice of Marion County. Knauff Funeral Home of Williston was honored to serve the Buckley family during their time of transition.
