Eula Simmons

Eula Jean Simmons was born on January 27, 1931 in Leesburg, Florida. She was a lifelong resident of Williston. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on November 18, 2021 at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her former husband Jimmie Simmons, her parents James Roscoe and Eula Velena Lanier and her son Mark Simmons. She is survived by her children Greg Simmons and Steve Simmons (Freida) and her brother Jimmie Lanier, grandchildren Lisa Murphy, Amanda Geiger (Rooster) Gregory Simmons, Lacey Zenoniani (Kelly), Allison Simmons and her great grandchildren Ashtin (Jacob), Miranda, Raegan, Brandon, Gracie, Waylon, Kaiden and great great grandson Jhett. She was employed at Florida Farm Bureau for many years. She was also the Avon Lady. She was a devout member of the First United Methodist Church in Williston. She enjoyed watching all of her children, grandchildren and great grands play on the ball field. She enjoyed daily visits with her brother, gardening, her social time going to breakfast with her breakfast group and she was up for traveling, especially to the beach. She was an excellent cook and the heart of all of our Holidays. A funeral service will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM with a visitation one hour prior. Judge Joe Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at the Orange Hill Cemetery. Knauff Funeral Home of Williston is honored to serve the Simmons family during their time of transition.
