Sylvia Jones

Sylvia Blitch Jones was reunited with the love of her life on October 6, 2021. Her beloved husband of 48 years, Oswald "Oz" Jones passed away in August 2021. She spent the last couple months of her life surrounded by many family members and friends. Sylvia lived a long, happy life and died peacefully at home at the age of 75. She is survived by her three daughters, Leah (Jon) Rainey -Missouri, Dana "Pink" Standridge Williston and Marva (Donnie) Sumner- Ocala. She was Nana to eight grandchildren, Brandie, Aaron, Rodie, Hunter, Kaitlin, Bradlee, Madison & Allie, two great grandchildren Weston & Tate, and beloved sister to Helen Boor McDaniels and Delores Thomas Green both of Williston. She is preceded in death by her parents Cleon "Dutch" Blitch and Eatris Griffin Blitch, and a brother Darry Wayne Blitch. Sylvia graduated Williston High School in 1964 and was a lifelong resident. She worked hard all her life and was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed gardening which showed in the multitude of plants she has, rehabilitating all the local wildlife brought to her house, and she was an avid Gator fan. She will forever be loved by the many of children she raised at "Nanas Place." People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel. A funeral service will be held at the Knauff Funeral Home Chapel in Williston, Florida on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 11:00 am with a visitation one hour prior.
