Winton Upshaw

Winton "Lamar" Upshaw, 90 of Gainesville, FL passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021. Lamar was born in Flemington, FL and was a lifelong resident of Florida. He was a US Navy Veteran and a retired Assistant Dean of Health Professions at the University of Florida, and was Baptist by faith. Lamar is preceded in death by his beloved wife Caroline Upshaw. He is survived by his devoted son Greg Upshaw of Micanopy, FL, nephew Edward Sroka and wife Karen, and a host of friends. The family will be having a graveside service on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Orange Hill Cemetery with Military Honors being presented. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Haven Hospice in memory of Lamar.
