Judith Sanchez

Judith "Judy" Carol Sanchez was born August 19, 1952 in Denver Colorado, to Benedict "Ben" Louis LaBella and Jacqueline "Jackie" Carol LaBella. Judy grew up in Aurora Colorado with her two older brothers and baby sister. Later, three more brothers and two sisters were added to the LaBella clan through her father, Bens, second marriage. Early in life, Judy married her first husband, an Army guy. That marriage resulted in a daughter, Terri. Later, Judy met the love of her life, Rudy Sanchez. They married after his Air Force basic training (the uniform did the trick *wink). He had two children, a daughter, Paula Jean and a son, Rudy Jr. They grew their little family to include another son, Gabriel, and daughter, Andrea. During their time with the military, they had a chance to travel to Germany and stay for 6 years. Judy loved the culture and learning about the different foods and loved military life with her husband. Judy and her husband, Rudy, had many adventures, during their years together. She loved being a mom so much that, she decided to take in foster kids who needed a home and a safe place. Eventually they both thought Florida was the best place to set roots. The decision was made because they always enjoyed it from when Rudy was stationed there, career opportunities, and had their longtime friends, Ron and Sandy Overbey, nearby. There were many characteristics to admire about Judy. She was an intelligent, creative, gifted, and artistic person, who wrote short stories and poems, loved music, enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She also applied her many skills at work and home taking care of everything with the professional finesse of the highly skilled office manager that she enjoyed. Judy never did anything part way, she put everything into all that she was passionate about, including her hobbies and family. She loved to grow gardens and can food and sharing her knowledge as an admin on her favorite canning group, Safe Canning By the Book, on Debbies Back Porch, that was run by her very dear friend Debbie Seagraves. She also enjoyed selling Party Lite with her best friend, Stan Kemp. In everything, from politics, medical, gardening and more, she always wanted to be accurately informed and would research credible sources for hours to make sure that she gave the best advice possible. Her research skills would put any fact checker to shame. It was important to her that the information she shared was accurate because she cared so much about the people that she shared it with. She had a lot to offer and a lot of heart. Judys quirky character meant surrounding herself with things that reflected her bright and fun personality. She loved Christmas and kept decorations nestled in with her many displayed collectibles and keepsakes. When asked, she said "Because they make me happy." She was an avid collector of kitchen gadgets, all those amazing handy-dandy cool things that you can do with them. Chocolate was a passion second only to her husband, with "stashes" scattered for easy reach. Last but definitely not least, she was a proud fur-baby mom and rescue advocate. She loved and spoiled each pet she ever had, most were rescues, and some lived in her heart forever. Her fur babies were forever family. There is no doubt that Judy loved with everything she had. She loved her family, fur babies and friends by giving her best every day and selflessly put the needs of others above her own. Judy Sanchez is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her loving husband, Rudy Sanchez. Her children: Terri Burnett, Gabriel Sanchez, Andrea Sanchez and fianc Chris Deal, Rudy Sanchez Jr. and Paula Jean Trujillo. Her brother: Michael LaBella and his wife Kat LaBella. A sister: Shannon LaBella. Eight grandchildren and many extended family members and many dear friends, new and old. A visitation will be held at Knauff Funeral Home in Williston, Florida on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 12:00 pm. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Rosemary Hill Cemetery in Bronson, Florida.
