Elizabeth Leigh (Leigh-Leigh) Hicks February 22, 1974 - September 16, 2021 Leigh-Leigh Hicks passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL after a brief battle with Covid-19. Leigh-Leigh was born in Augusta, GA, daughter of James (Skeet) and Kay Hicks. She graduated from Lakeside High School in Martinez, GA and attended Augusta University. She was on the high school swim team and was a life guard/swim teacher at Watervale Pool in Augusta. After moving to Florida in 2000, she was a resident in Northern Palm Beach County and Apalachicola before moving to Reddick. She worked in the Food Service Industry and retail. She was working at Tractor Supply in Gainesville, FL at the time of her passing. Leigh-Leigh married Jason (Jay) Baldinger where she found her passion of living on their farm she proudly named Farmony Acres, raising their family of dogs, cat, chickens, ducks, pigs and goats. Its also where Leigh-Leigh practiced her love for cooking. She was a prolific gardener, where she grew her own herbs and vegetables used in her culinary masterpieces. Leigh-Leighs greatest gift was she never met a stranger. She acquired a mountain of friendships in her short life and was always available to help anyone when called upon or whenever she felt compassion was needed. She had a keen sense of selflessness by always being there when needed. She is survived by her beloved husband, Jason Baldinger (Jay) of Reddick, FL, as well as her parents and sister Katie Hicks McGann of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, niece Hailey McGann of Boca Raton, FL and nephew, Matthew McGann of Ypsilanti, MI as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she loved dearly. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Living Water Life Center in Morriston, Florida. In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Living Water Life Center, for the benefit of Walk to Bethlehem, a favorite charity of Leigh-Leigh's to provide gifts for the community children. Knauff Funeral Home of Williston is honored to serve the Hicks family during their time of transition.
