Charline Cureau

Charline Sue Cureau passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on September 1st in Archer, Florida. She was 83. Charline was born on September 5, 1937, in Archer, Florida to Charles and Pearl Louise (Maddox) Andrews. After graduating from Williston High School in 1955, Charline attended Florida State University in Tallahassee. This is where she met the love of her life, Michel "Mike" Cureau. Soon after being introduced to Mike on the FSU Campus, the two of them became inseparable from that point on. Charline and Mike were married for more than sixty-two years and were the proud parents of two daughters, Michele and Eileen. Charline was a dedicated wife and loving mother as well as a businesswoman. In 2002, she retired as Vice President of Maddox Foundry and Machine Works, Inc. of Archer, Florida. Charline was very generous and compassionate to others. Her husband and family were her top priority and she loved spending time with them, taking care that every birthday, holiday, and special occasion did not go unrecognized. She taught her family how to love unconditionally and the importance of accepting Jesus into their lives. Her greatest wish was for all of her family to be together in heaven. Charline was a member of the Williston Church of God, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir for many years. Her heart for others led her to establish a missions outreach program at her church. For thirty-two years Charline held the position of World Missions Director for her church. Working together with the Churchs Missions Board, the Williston Church of Gods Mission Program earned national recognition for its outstanding contributions to the Church of Gods Worldwide Missions Program. Charline was instrumental in helping develop and grow what is now the Nymphande School and Orphanage in Lusaka, Zambia. During her tenure as World Missions Director, Charline made four trips to Zambia to view the progress of the construction of the school, dormitories, and medical facility now located at Nymphande. Charline is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Pearl Louis Andrews. She leaves behind her husband Mike Cureau, her two daughters Michele Winningham of Archer, Florida, and Eileen (Rick) Herndon of Madison, Florida, six grandchildren, Mike (Luisa) Walker of Lithia, Florida, Matthew Walker of Tampa, Florida, Brittany Micheletti of Williston, Florida, Chad (Nicole) Winningham of Gainesville, Florida, Katherine (Eric) Taylor of Gainesville, Florida, and Brandy (Michael) Langston of Williston, Florida. She also leaves twelve great-grandchildren and her beloved two sisters, Pearl Tew of DeLand, Florida, and Annetta Smith of Williston, Florida, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. at the Williston Church of God, Williston, Florida. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Archer, Florida.
