Mildred Stanley

Mildred Lucille Stanley, age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Williston Care Center in Williston, Florida. Mildred was born in Kinston, North Carolina on October 9, 1929, she was the daughter of Nathan and Lily Odessa Stanley. Mildred was a cook/waitress for over fifty years and thrived on meeting all of her customers, many became closer friends.Her hobbies included going out to eat, watching westerns and WWE wrestling, and making beautiful needlework creations, but her joy was found in spending time with her four legged princess P-Nut. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her ten siblings and a special nephew Jeff Basing. She is survived by her niece/caregiver Carole Basing and nieces Barbara Owen and Alice Hamlerand numerous other nieces, nephews and friends. A graveside service will be held at the Orange Hill Cemetery in Williston, Florida on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 10:00 am. Don Holt will officiate. Knauff Funeral Home of Williston is honored to serve the Stanley family during their time of transition.
