Oswald "Oz" Jones Oswald "Oz" L. Jones peacefully passed away at the age of 86 on Friday August 13, 2021 at home in Williston, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Sylvia E. Blitch Jones, daughters Leah (Jon) Rainey (Lowndes, Mo), Dana "Pink" Standridge (Williston), Marva (Donnie) Sumner (Ocala) and Katrina (Nathan) Wade (Ga.). 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and many adopted extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents Lorse Jones and Edna Hart Jones, daughters Lori Jones and Sabrina Lewis, brother Paul Jones and sister Belvadine Jones. Oswald served in the US Navy during the Korean War after enlisting at the age of 17. He served as a boiler tender on the USS Kearsarge. He was retired from Nash Plumbing in Coleman, Florida. He was a past member of the Masons and Lions Clubs of Levy County. He was a past deacon / member of Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Williston. He liked to fish, cheer on the Florida Gators and watch the Rays play!! He was the heart of the family, he was loved and cherished by many and will be dearly missed. A visitation will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 5:007:00 pm at Knauff Funeral Home in Williston, Florida. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Orange Hill Cemetery in Williston, Florida. Knauff Funeral Home of Williston is honored to serve the Jones family during their time of transition.
