Patricia Ernestine Davis Sheppard (Patsy) was born November 12,1944, in Otter Creek to Katie Hill Davis and Ernest (Red John) Davis. Patsy died on February 4, 2026, at Tri-County Nursing Home.
Patsy was married to Ruie Calvin Sheppard of Chiefland for 57 years. They lived in Chiefland and raised four children. She was a devoted wife, mama, granny and great- granny and loved to cook and be surrounded by family.
Patsy was a renowned hairdresser in the Tri-County for 50 years. She was an avid hunter, but her true passion was "chasing that little white ball" at the Chiefland Golf and Country Club, where she was an active member for several decades. Patsy spent her last couple of years watching Yellowstone as her past time.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband (R.C.), her sister (Carlene Yeager), and her son (Johnny). She is survived by her children Rhonda Heatherly, Mark Sheppard, and Deanna Sheppard; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Weems & Sons Funeral Home, 715 West Park Avenue, Chiefland, Florida 32626. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11am-1pm. Burial will follow at the Long Pond Baptist Church Cemetery in Chiefland.
