Luther Lemar "Buddy" Hiers, Jr age 72 of Romeo, FL passed away on July 3, 2021. He was born on December 26, 1948 in Ocala, FL to Luther Lemar Hiers, Sr. and Rachel (Strawn) Hiers. Buddy was a native to Romeo where he grew peanuts, watermelons, cut hay and raised cattle. Buddy loved his family, the outdoors, hunting, and watching his grandson Chandler play baseball for Dunnellon. He is survived by his wife Jodie Hiers, sons Tray Hiers (Cheri), Matt Hiers (Amy), Bo Hiers (Pricilla), Dustin Hiers, daughter Kaylie Hiers and many grandchildren. He was also survived by 4 sisters, Betty Ruth Britt (Winston), Sharon Mills (Jerry), Cari Jo Chapin (Bob), Debbie Jerrels (Kelly) and 1 brother Carl Hiers. He was preceded in death by his parents Luther Lemar Hiers Sr, Rachel Hiers and his sister Patricia Hiers. Service will be held Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 11:00 am at Romeo Baptist Church with a graveside service following.
