Richard Rain

Richard Rain of Cedar Key passed away on June 9th, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. He was 82 years old. He was a wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and was looking forward to a Great Great Grandson in July. Richard was a hardworking man who did many things throughout his life including being a Fisherman before the Net Ban. Ultimately he was an Ironworker with local 397 out of Tampa, FL and retired from there after 57 years. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Frieda (Fritz), two brothers Jimmy (Claire) & Jerry, two daughters Shari & Mary Rain and one son Rick (Charlie) Rain all of Cedar Key. Five grandchildren Amy (Clint) Walker, David (Crystal) Sharp, Vanessa (David) Bastow, Daniel (Katy) Sharp and Richie Rain. Eleven Great Grandchildren CJ, Sam, Tanner Parks, Alex & Mallory Bastow, Charlie & Emerson Rain, Lane, Lexi, Tesa & Emily Sharp. Visitation for Richard will be held at the Knauff Funeral Home Chapel in Chiefland, FL on Sunday, from 3:00-5:00 PM Knauff Funeral Home of Chiefland is honored to serve the Rain Family during their time of transition.
