Jimmy 'Turkey' Martin of Chiefland, FL passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021. He was 85. Jimmy moved to Levy County in 1984, built a home, an archery business and enjoyed the river with his wife Tina. During his 35 years in Chiefland he earned a reputation as a true artisan of archery, introducing several generations to bowhunting. While his family and friends mourn his passing, deer, hogs and other game wildlife are relieved. He is survived by his two sons David and Darrell Martin. A memorial gathering will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the Knauff Funeral Home Chapel in Chiefland, FL. Arrangements are under the care of the Knauff Funeral Home, Chiefland, FL. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the Howard T. Odum Florida Springs Institute, a cause which meant a great deal to Jimmy and Tina.
