Robert Fisk

Robert John Fisk, Age 76, of Chiefland, passed away April 22, 2021 after a lengthy illness. Bob was born April 26, 1944, in Wellsville, NY, to Francis "John" Fisk and Helen Flanders Fisk. He attended Angelica Central School graduating in 1962. After graduation, he attended Rochester Business Institute graduating in 1965 with a degree in accounting. In 1966, Bob began his career at Worthingtons Wellsville plant. Although the company changed ownership and names many times, Bob continued to work there until his retirement in 2006. He put in more than 40 years of loyal service, never once being laid off. On April 13, 1974, in Friendship, NY, Bob married Glenda Ilene Bedwell. Bob and Glenda raised two sons, Jerry (Sarah) Fisk, of Fredonia, NY, and Tom Fisk of Cuba, NY. Bob enjoyed golf, which he took up late in life, time on the family farm, playing cards and visiting with family and friends. One of Bobs fondest memories was being a member of the 1961-62 Section V Class D Boys Basketball Championship team under Coach Don Foreman. Surviving, in addition to his wife and two sons, are his uncle Grover "Stew" Burr of Caneadea, NY, and numerous extended family. Arrangements made through Knauff Funeral Home, Chiefland, FL. A celebration of life will be held at a later date as determined by the family. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
